Eating carrots make the skin sexy

Results can be felt during the two months thereafter

Those who like to eat vegetables and fruits such as carrots and plums tend to have more attractive skin colors and healthy, says a number of scientists from St Andrews and Bristol University.

Carrots and plums contain yellow pigments called carotenoids. This substance plays a key role to make the skin beautiful, healthy and glowing.

"Only two months consumption of vegetables and fruits are visible results in skin," said study co-author, Ian Stephen, as quoted by the Times of India.

He hopes this finding could be a new strategy to encourage young people to be more interested in eating vegetables and fruits. Regardless of the intention to beautify the skin, the consumption of carrots and plums will also improve the quality of health care in general.

A healthy and beautiful skin for short-term profits increased consumption of vegetables and fruits. While the habit of eating vegetables and fruit in the long run, serve to prevent serious illnesses like heart.

"It is important to advise young people to eat healthy foods, to avoid a heart attack at age 40 years," said Stephen.
