Sex Can Trigger Strokes?

"Sex can lead to increased blood pressure suddenly."

 Sexual intercourse can cause a fatal brain hemorrhage, according to scientists. However, the danger does not threaten any person.

As reported by the website of The Sun, a brain hemorrhage due to sexual intercourse can occur in people who are vulnerable to several types of stroke.

But unfortunately, people who are vulnerable to certain types of stroke did not know the signs. Normally, blood vessels they have been weakened or called aneurysms.

The experts from the Netherlands found that having sex increases the risk of cerebral haemorrhage of 4.3 per cent. Blowing your nose too hard to have a greater hazard of 5.4 percent. Exercise that is too heavy prsen risk of 7.9, and 10.6 percent drank coffee.


"It all lead to increased blood pressure suddenly," said Dr. Monique Vlak, from the University Medical Centre in Utrecht.

ABC News quoted from the site, men have a higher risk of stroke due to sex than women. However, the risk is very dependent on other causes of stroke risk factors. "Sexual intercourse can indeed trigger a stroke, but there are other factors that influence," said Dr. Pat Lyden, medical chief of the UCSD Stroke Center.

Lyden added, a stroke can happen anywhere, anytime, and under any conditions. "Everybody has their script," he said.
